This 12-minute training video demonstrates, through field and laboratory footage, the unique character and procedures for pulling and lubricating fiber optic cable.
In the video, American Polywater draws on experience with lubricant products used to install tens of thousands of miles of fiber optic cable. Besides lubricants and lubrication techniques, the video demonstrates tension estimation software, friction measurement, and jacket compatibility testing.
Field techniques of figure-eighting and mid-assist pulling are explained, as are cable attachment methods and cable tension and bending radius limitations.
