DISK DETAILS

The Pull-Planner™ 2000 For Windows™ is a Windows™ based program supplied on one CD. This CD contains the 38 compressed files necessary to run the software. These include Windows™ system files, application support files, and the application executable file called PP2KWIN.EXE.

HELP SCREENS

The Pull-Planner™ 2000 For Windows™ is easy to run. It follows the structure and program flow of the original Pull-Planner™ 2000 DOS version. There are HELP drop-down menus on every screen to provide definitions. These HELP SCREENS eliminate the need for a detailed manual and keep the cost of the software low.

POINT AND CLICK OPERATION

The Pull-Planner 2000™ For Windows™ is designed for point and click operation. Numeric data must be entered from the keyboard. Control is through Command Buttons, Drop-Down Menus, Text Input Boxes, and Selection Lists. Occasionally, double clicks are required to initiate special operations. The program does not use right button mouse click controls.

MENU SCREENS

The Pull-Planner™ 2000 for Windows™ contains 10 basic control screens. These have been scanned and are reproduced below in black and white.

Main Menu Function and Contents: Use to initiate all program branches, to set units or colors, or to review references and theory.

Custom Cable Data Menu: Use to name, add, change, and organize your personal cable database.

Cable/Conduit Data Entry Menu: Use to input or change all data on the conduit and the cable(s) being pulled.

Cable/Conduit Summary Menu: Use to view calculations on conduit fill, jamming, clearance, and weight correction factors.

Friction (COF)/Incoming Tension Menu: Use to input or change coefficient of friction and incoming tension. Friction database included.

Column Screen Menu: Use to add or change conduit system design information and to calculate tension and sidewall pressure. Use for "what if" pulling scenarios. Use to access a number of advanced features through the "Tools" menu.

Diagram Menu: Use to view line drawing of conduit system to ensure proper data entry by comparison with appearance.

Flag Maximum Tension/Sidewall Pressure Menu: Use to determine and mark maximum tensions and sidewall pressures for flagging on screen or hard copy printout.

Lubricant Quantity and Application Menu: Use to determine appropriate amount of lubricant based on pull input. Use to print out lubricant applications information.

Retrieve Saved Pull Data Menu: Use to find and retrieve a saved pull from memory.
