Technical Talk subjects are of general interest in communications and electrical construction, and can range from theoretical analysis to field installation studies. Polywater Puts Lubricant Quantity Calculator on the Web

American Polywater has placed a calculator on their web page to estimate the amount of pulling lubricant needed for any given cable pull. The calculator requires inputs on conduit size, total conduit run length, degrees of bend, and conduit condition. The calculator can be run in metric or English units. The calculations are useful whether installing premises data cable, long haul fiber optic, or heavy twisted pair copper. To view or use the calculator, go to:
