A Weekly Summary of Polywater® News of Incredible Importance
Issue #874

          American Polywater Announces Employee Changes:

  1. Mark Bisenius has retired as of August 7, 2015. Mark was hired in 2011 as Polywater's National Sales Manager in the Communications Division after a long, successful career in the CATV market. The division grew every year during his tenure, and July 2015--Mark's last full month--was an all-time monthly sales record. Mark is a great guy and he went out on top. We thank him for his service and wish him well in the Florida sun.

  2. Jeff Ericson moves to fill Mark's vacant position. Jeff is a seasoned sales veteran who joined Polywater in 1998 and led the Electrical Division's Western Territory to new heights, breaking one sales record after another along the way. Jeff's background prior to Polywater was in the communications industry, so this move is a homecoming of sort for him. Now he brings his wealth of Polywater knowledge and experience to bear in the telcom market. Sales records beware.

  3. Pat Estenson has been hired to fill Jeff's vacant position as Western Regional Sales Manager in the Electrical Division. Pat has worked in various sales positions over the years, the most recent being an eleven-year stint as national sales representative for Versa-Lok Retaining Wall Systems. Pat is a University of Minnesota graduate. His degree in economics helped him envision the great opportunity that a career in selling Polywater products offers. In his spare time ... nope, Pat is married with four children; he has no spare time.
Fiscal Year 2015 just ended in July for Polywater with yet another huge sales record. The month of July was itself the best month in the history of the company. We fully expect these changes to continue that trend. Onward and upward, Folks.

The Joke
Why All Those English Lessons Matter. An appeals court has agreed with a Middletown, Ohio woman who said her parking citation should be tossed because the village law was missing a comma. The woman, who had obviously paid close attention in English class, said she shouldn't have been issued a citation in 2014 based on the wording of the law enacted by the village of West Jefferson. The law lists several types of vehicles that can't be parked longer than 24 hours, including "motor vehicle camper," with the comma missing between "vehicle" and "camper." The woman said her pickup truck did not fit the definition of a "motor vehicle camper" and should be exempt. The Village argued that the law's meaning was clear in context, but the 12th Ohio District Court of Appeals judge stated in his ruling that the village of West Jefferson should amend the law if it wants it read differently.
