A Weekly Summary of Polywater® News of Incredible Importance
Issue #860

This week Polywater's Eastern Regional Manager, Wade LeVander, shares our recommended UPR No-Flow Application Instructions. Whenever he presents the product to customers with a field demonstration he starts each repair session with a simple question to the offending woodpecker: "Are you talking to me?"

Then he gets down to business with the following UPR-NF™ application procedure (see the linked instructions PDF for a more detailed explanation):

  1. Measure the depth and diameter of the hole to determine the quantity of UPR-NF needed. A cartridge fills approximately 50 cubic inches.
  2. Remove all debris and water from the hole.
  3. Wrap layers of stretch film around pole to cover the hole and form a seal to contain the UPR. Cover at least 4" below hole. Leave a small injection port at the top.
  4. Wear impermeable gloves and eye protection.
  5. Remove UPR cartridge from pouch--but not from protective foil until ready to use. Hold cartridge upright, remove nut and plug (save for re-use). Tightly attach nozzle.
  6. Use a standard, high-ratio caulking tool to install UPR-NF. For best performance use Polywater cat. #TOOL-250.
  7. Insert nozzle in hole at the top of the wrap. Don't prime cartridge first. Inject rapidly for better mixing. For best results inject no more than 3 cartridges sequentially.
  8. After injecting, cover hole with wrap. UPR-NF thickens and expands, filling the hole in 5 to 10 minutes. More UPR-NF may be added to finish the fill.
  9. After the hole is filled, the stretch wrap can be removed by cutting on each side with a knife.
Wade doesn't need an avatar to sell UPR-NF™. He likes to handle field matters himself.

The Joke
Riddles.   1) You're running a race and pass the person in 2nd place. What place are you in now? 2) Imagine you are in a dark room. How do you get out? 3) Who makes it, but has no need of it. Who buys it, but has no use for it. Who uses it but can neither see nor feel it. What is it? 4) You answer me, but I never ask you a question. What am I? 5) What can travel around the world while staying in a corner? 6) Johnny's mother had three children. The first was named April and the second was named May. What was the name of the third child? 7) Some months have 30 days, and some months have 31 days. How many have 28? 8) What occurs once in every minute, twice in every moment, but never in a thousand years? 9) If there are three apples and you take two away, how many apples do you have? 10) What has no beginning, end, or middle? 11) There is a word and six letters it contains. Take one away and twelve is what remains. What word is it?

Answer Key: 1) You're in second place. You didn't pass the person in first place. 2) Stop imagining. 3) A coffin. 4) A telephone. 5) A stamp. 6) Johnny. 7) All twelve of them. 8) The letter M. 9) You took two apples, so you now have two of them. 10) A doughnut. 11) Dozens.
