A Weekly Summary of Polywater® News of Incredible Importance
Issue #846

As the excesses of holiday merriment--spiked eggnog, semi-bulimic food consumption (binging without purging), communal influenza, and bacchanalian consumerism--recede as a distant memory, for Polywater employees and their significant others one image will never fade, having been forever seared into their collective psyche like a nasty case of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder): Charlie Cole singing Christmas carols.

When a quartet of Dickensian-attired carolers crashed the company Christmas party, Charlie Cole (Polywater International Division General Manager and oft Ambassador of Goodwill) was suddenly taken with the holiday spirit and the irresistible impulse to interject himself in the roving carolers' revelry--despite his manifest vocal shortcomings. That's Charlie to the left, lyrically propounding his enthusiastic esteem of manger scenes. Perhaps not coincidentally, his wife Betsy (center foreground) happened to win the evening's trivia contest by correctly identifying the most cocktail recipes, with Charlie coming in a close second. The two events may not be mutually exclusive.

Mere moments after this photo was taken, Charlie managed to Commandeer the Top Hat from the caroler beside him, guaranteeing that the night would never be forgotten by those who'd witnessed it ... and instantly elucidating the relevancy of Snapchat to civilized society.

If you are looking to make lasting memories of your own at a future company event, you could invite Charlie to your Christmas party.

Please.

The Joke
Mothers.   A man saw a woman in the grocery store with a 3-year-old girl in her cart. As they passed the cookie section the little girl asked for one and her mother said, "No." The little girl immediately began to whine and fuss, and the mother said quietly, "Now Monica, we just have half of the aisles left to go through. Don't be upset. It won't be long now." Soon, they came to the candy aisle and the little girl began to shout for candy. When told she couldn't have any, she began to cry. The mother said, "There, there, Monica, don't cry ... only two more aisles to go and then we'll be checking out." When they got to the checkout lane, the little girl immediately began to clamor for gum and threw a terrible tantrum when she learned she wouldn't be getting any. The mother said serenely, "Monica, we'll be through the check-out in five minutes, and then you can go home and have a nice nap." The man followed them out to the parking lot and stopped the woman to compliment her. He said, "I couldn't help noticing how patient you were with little Monica." The mother replied, "I'm Monica ... my little girl's name is Tammy."
