          | As of yesterday it is now the year 2015, but we're going to party like it's $19.99 ... because it's time for New Price Sheets. And for no particular reason we're using this viral-worthy photo of long-time Polywater rep Chris Peck from George E. Anderson in Houston (circa 1976) to announce it. You should have already received an email notification announcing the new price schedules, which are effective February 1, 2015, but in case you missed it, we have the files available to you here in two formats: the 2015 Distributor Price File in Excel and the 2015 Distributor Price File in PDF. We also have a Letter of Explanation available with more detail on the changes in the new price schedule. The new schedule includes a modest price increase of roughly 3% on average, but the price increase does vary by item ... and some products have no increase, including PedFloor™ Structural Foam, Grime-Away™ Multi-Purpose Wipes, and the Pull-Planner™ Software. Make sure your distributors have received the new prices and are given the opportunity to place orders at the lower current price levels before the February 1st deadline passes. And start adjusting new and existing special quotes as they come due to reflect these new prices. As always, it's better to quote discounted pricing as a percentage off published prices (which then change proportionally in the future with subsequent price increases), rather than set dollar amounts--which can seemingly take an act of Congress to change later. |
![]() The Joke |
                              | Ole's New Yob.   A road crew supervisor hired Ole to assist with painting the yellow line down the middle of the road. He was skeptical about hiring him, but Ole appeared enthusiastic and told him that he really needed the job. He explained to Ole that his work day would be to complete 2 miles of line on the road, and he set him up with brushes and paint and got him started. After the first day, the supervisor was pleased to find that Ole had done an excellent job and was able to paint 4 miles of road in his 8-hour shift. He told Ole that he'd done an excellent job and that he was pleased with his progress. On the second day, Ole completed painting 2 miles of road. His supervisor was surprised that on the first day, he had completed twice as much work, but did not say anything, as 2 miles of roadway was the amount that the job required. He decided to just accept it, and to look forward to the next day when he was sure that he would pick up his speed again. On day 3, the supervisor was shocked to learn that in his 8-hour shift, Ole only completed painting 1 mile of road. The supervisor called him to his office and asked what the problem was. "On your first day, you completed four miles of road; on your second day, two miles of road; and now on day three, you were only able to complete one mile of road. I have to ask you ... what is the problem?" Ole replied, "Vell, I tell you vhat, but I tought you vould know. Every day I vas getting farder and farder avay from da paint can." |
