Mike Cuddy, a Regional Representative for Renmark, Polywater's electrical agent in the Pittsburgh, PA area, recently won an important approval for Polywater LZ. Mike contacted RSCC Wire & Cable, LLC (Rockbestos-Surprenant Cable Corporation) about the possibility of specifying Polywater LZ for the Mt. Lebanon Light Rail Tunnel Job, which involves installation of 140,000 feet of their specialty low-smoke VITALink® Circuit Integrity Cable. His efforts paid off. Not only will he sell large quantities of Polywater LZ on this project, he secured a written Polywater LZ Recommendation from RSCC that all Polywater reps can use in the future: "August 8, 2014 Subject: Pulling lubricant for RSCC Wire & Cable VITALink RHW 300 To whom it may concern: RSCC Wire & Cable LLC has tested VITALink RHW 300 in accordance with the test procedure prescribed in UL 2196. Under fire conditions material compatibility is essential to the overall performance of a fire rated system. The pulling lubricant employed by RSCC during testing was Polywater LZ. RSCC engineering recommends that Polywater LZ is utilized during the installation of the VITALink RHW 300 fire rated cable system.
