Friday Fax
A Weekly Summary of Polywater® News of Incredible Importance
Issue #810

Friday Fax Target Audience: You
Agent JR Smith with CBM Inc. asked a great question that we've heard before: "Do you send the Friday Fax to end users? I was thinking of forwarding this to my customers every week, but don’t want to if you already send it."

The short answer is, no. While we have a few names added to our list from specific requests, we don't send the Fax to distributors or end users on a wholesale basis. But that leads to a more important question: Should you share the Friday Fax with customers?

The Fax is written to a specific target audience: Polywater reps. The articles are fundamentally about how to sell our products to distributors and users. Because we sell in multiple markets the topics range from telcom to electrical or international. Sometimes we discuss pricing, promotions, distribution strategy or other matters of little interest to end users, which they may not appreciate. Maybe the joke is over the top. We don't want to offend delicate sensibilities.

Clearly, in most cases the weekly joke would be welcome and the product insight not found in flyers or spec sheets might aid your effort in representing Polywater in general or a specific product in particular. So sharing the Fax is probably fine ... with the caveat that you use your own judgment after perusing a particular issue and considering the potential recipient.

To share issues, you have options. One is to simply forward your emailed issue to others, or copy and paste the URL in an email. Another is to invite them to the Friday Fax Back Issues Menu, sorted by date, or the Friday Fax Topics Menu, sorted by product. We can also carve out one article of interest and create a special edition for you to share. For the truly devout, notify us and we'll simply add their email address to the weekly mailing. Please make sure they agree to this so we're not spamming.

The Joke
Robot For Sale. A father buys a specially designed lie detector robot that slaps people when they tell a lie. He decides to test it out at dinner one night with his family. The father asks his son what he did that afternoon. The son says, "I did some homework." The robot immediately slaps the son. The son says, "Okay, okay, I was at a friend's house watching movies." His dad asks, "So what movie did you watch?" The son says, "We watched Toy Story." The robot slaps the son again. The son says, "Okay, okay, we were watching porn." His dad says, "What? At your age I didn't even know what porn was." The robot slaps the father. The mother laughs and says, "Well, he certainly is your son." And the robot slaps the mother.
