Tom Fredericks, Polywater Electrical Division General Manager and newly minted media star, managed to walk the red carpet recently without tripping or making a fashion faux pas (which is unfortunate, since that's how one becomes famous in America). He's featured in a promotional video for the NAED Networking Showcase. Here's the clip of Tom's Three Minutes of Fame.
Polywater has attended each regional NAED (National Association of Electrical Distributors) conference since joining last fall. This has been extremely beneficial in two ways.
- We meet key personnel (Presidents, VP's, CEO's, and Corporate Purchasing Agents) from numerous distributors with whom we discuss our "canned" promotions, new products, and how Polywater adds value by offering unique, high-profit, problem-solving products.
- The meetings create opportunity. The recent Tampa Conference yielded 7 invitations to conduct lunch-and-learns with key regional distributors, who then committed to selling our line and working closer with our reps. This led to new business and strengthened our relationship with distributors that typically sold only our lubes and maybe one other item. Here's an example response: "We had a good meeting with Tom this week at NAED. I agree that we need our guys to revisit all the different products that Polywater has to offer. I'm going to suggest that your team establishes a lunch and learn date for each area."
We'd like to thank our agents who've acted on these opportunities quickly and set up meetings to present our product line and train distributor sales forces.
