          | Warning to Utilities: Do not allow Dryocopus Pileatus to cause Electricus Interruptus or you will experience Costus Maximus. This is the topic of the latest issue of Polywater's Technical Talk Newsletter recently sent to subscribers. Translating the Latin into English, the message of the article entitled "Polywater® UPR Utility Pole Repair -- Improve Electrical Reliability" is essentially how to use UPR Foam to prevent damage caused by the pileated woodpecker (Dryocopus Pileatus) from resulting in expensive (Costus Maximus) power outages (Electricus Interruptus). The newsletter delves deeply into the nature of pole damage caused by woodpeckers of all species--not just the pileated. It discusses why and how the damage is typically repaired, and how UPR is usually a better alternative to pole replacement and other competitive repair products. The newsletter is an excellent sales tool. It covers most of the material in the product flyer but goes much further, including an explanation of the UPR repair procedure; information on OSHA requirements for pole safety; a description of the package options and content; and plenty of technical details such as compression strength, gaffability, moisture repellency, etc. When providing information to prospective UPR clients, this newsletter should definitely be considered. Share it freely with your contacts and invite subscriptions. |

                              | Explaining the Difference Between the Words "Complete" and "Finished."   No dictionary has been able to adequately explain the difference between COMPLETE and FINISHED. However, in a recent linguistic conference held in London, England, and attended by some of the best linguists in the world, Samsundar Balgobin, a Guyanese, was the clear winner. He was issued this final challenge: "Some say there is no difference between COMPLETE and FINISHED. Please explain the difference between COMPLETE and FINISHED in a way that is easy to understand." Here is his astute answer: "When you marry the right woman, you are COMPLETE. When you secretly date the wrong woman on the side, you are FINISHED. And furthermore, when the right woman catches you with the wrong woman, you are COMPLETELY FINISHED!" |
