A Weekly Summary of Polywater® News of Incredible Importance
Issue #736

American Polywater has reached IDEA's IDW Platinum Band of Excellence. IDEA, "the official technology service provider of the electrical industry," offers distributors use of their Industry Data Warehouse (IDW) database to get price and information on individual SKU's from manufacturers. Platinum Band is their top level, indicating that 75-100% of a manufacturer's stock items in the IDW contain the enriched product marketing content distributors need to effectively market and sell products (specs, attributes, images, and descriptions). Polywater has populated 100% of applicable fields.

We've provided a data-rich distributor price sheet with resource links for some time, but now, with additional product attribute fields populated in IDW, most other manufacturers don't even compare. Polywater's price data offering through the IDW may literally be the best in the industry, if not the universe. "This achievement reflects Polywater’s commitment to serving its distributors at the highest level," says President John Fee.

IDEA says, "It's a pleasure to congratulate American Polywater for achieving Platinum level! This elite status recognizes your commitment to excellence. You've taken a true leadership role and are providing exceptional value and marketing support to trading partners. May your achievement open new doors of opportunity. Together, we can make Polywater an example for others within the industry." Learn more from the IDW Bands of Excellence Press Release, or the Manufacturer Rankings.

IDEA will promote our achievement by adding our logo to the Bands of Excellence web page and other print materials at industry events, and announcing it in their next eNewsletter. Discuss this with your distributors by sharing the Polywater Press Release. The news primarily affects Polywater's Electrical Division, but also touches the Communications Division with cross-over distribution, and to some extent the Int'l Division through exporters.

As President John Fee often reminds employees, "That was excellent work, but you can do better." Really, how? "By being perfect." Well ... we may have just done it. Our data is now so thick, if it was dressed up any more it'd have to shop at the Big and Tall Data Store.

The Joke
Final Things You Need to Know to be the Life of the Party.   1) The Swine Flu vaccine in 1976 caused more death and illness than the disease it was intended to prevent. 2) Caffeine increases the power of aspirin and other painkillers, which is why it's found in some medicines. 3) The military salute is a motion that evolved from medieval times, when knights in armor raised their visors to reveal their identity. 4) If you get into the bottom of a well or a tall chimney and look up, you can see stars, even in the middle of the day (Unless you die from the brain injury first. --Editor). 5) When a person dies, hearing is the last sense to go. The first sense lost is sight (According to whom, Casper? --Editor). 6) In ancient times strangers shook hands to show that they were unarmed (Until they learned that was too late. --Editor). 7) Strawberries are the only fruits whose seeds grow on the outside. 8) Avocados have the highest calories of any fruit at 167 calories per hundred grams. 9) The moon moves about two inches away from the Earth each year. 10) The Earth gets 100 tons heavier every day due to falling space dust (Not from Big Gulps in NYC? --Editor). 11) Due to earth's gravity it is impossible for mountains to be higher than 15,000 meters. 12) Mickey Mouse is known as "Topolino" in Italy 13) Soldiers do not march in step when going across bridges because they could set up a vibration which could be sufficient to knock the bridge down. 14) Everything weighs one percent less at the equator. 15) For every extra kilogram carried on a space flight, 530 kg of excess fuel are needed at lift-off. 16) The letter J does not appear anywhere on the periodic table of the elements. 17) December sometimes has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays. This apparently happens once every 823 years!

In hindsight I think this list should be renamed Everything You Need to Know to Get Beaten Up in a Bar. --Editor
