Be on notice that the Polywater J Specification has been updated. Compatibility statements with CPE jacket have been removed. The flyer and other literature didn't require updating and were not changed. Here is what's happening:

In 2010 DuPont discontinued production of Hypalon^™ (chlorosulfonated polyethylene, aka CSPE). This jacket material is being replaced by new CPE (chlorinated polyethylene) jackets from a variety of cable manufacturers. The CPE category includes some XHHW cables. Most versions of CPE are compatible with Polywater J. However, a few CPE jacket versions recently tested to IEEE 1210 did not pass. While this should not be a huge cause for alarm, we take cable compatibility very seriously and have removed the CPE recommendation from the technical data sheet and specification. It's important that we represent Polywater J's compatibility responsibly.

And now the good news: Polywater LZ has good compatibility with the CPE, CSPE, and LSZH tested. Changes that cause a problem for Polywater J create an opportunity for Polywater LZ. Thus, we must pursue sales of Polywater LZ for CPE cables. LZ shows similar or better friction reduction and has a similar application "feel" to Polywater J.

Cable jacket technology continues to evolve. Cable lubricant innovation must keep pace. Polywater is essentially the only lubricant manufacturer studying cable jacket compatibility and formulating solutions for new jacket technologies.

On my desk, I have a work station. 12) How is it one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?
