FST-180 Phase-Out
Important product notice: The 7-oz dual-cartridge FST-180 package is in the process of being phased out in favor of the vastly more popular 8.5-oz caulking-tube-style FST-250 Cartridge.

When we introduced the FST-250 two years ago we said, "The FST-250 does not replace the FST-180; it's in addition to it. Now customers have another option."

Customers have exercised that option in a big way. They've said loud and clear that they prefer the larger FST-250 cartridge, and much prefer that it fits standard high-ratio caulking guns--a tool many customers already own for other products, such as RTV silicone and firestop. As a result, FST-250 sales have skyrocketed and FST-180 sales have plummeted. With lower volume comes higher cost and inventory problems. The FST-180 is no longer a viable package.

This in no way indicates bad news for FST in general. Do not weep for the demise of the FST-180. While the popularity of the FST-250 has spelled doom for the FST-180, it has also tripled the sales of FST Sealant overall!

Your regional manager will work with you to transition the few remaining FST-180 customers to the more popular FST-250 caulking tube package. The FST-180 will no longer be promoted to new customers, and references to the package will begin to disappear from FST Foam Duct Sealant literature, Polywater's website, the catalog, and price sheets. The FST-180 will be available for a limited time on a special order basis as we assist customers through this transition.
