So when they publish installation guidelines promoting the use of Polywater FTTx Wipes, the world should listen--or at least you should. The Superior Essex Tech Guide advises installers to use suitable pulling lubricants that are specifically designed for use with datacom cables. Their Tech Guide leaves no doubt about what they consider suitable: "Superior Essex prefers the ease and control of lubricated wipes." They then include a link to the Polywater FTTx product flyer. They go on to warn installers that "... the majority of issues of insertion loss failures have been traced back to the use of 'generic' or 'all purpose' lubricants."
