New FST™ Foam Quantity Calculator.
With the growing popularity of FST Foam Duct Sealant we've been getting a lot of calls about the right amount of foam to use for a given situation. After all, a 2-inch duct with 40% cable fill won't require as much FST as a 6-inch duct with 10% fill, right? Therefore, to assist you and your customers we've created this nifty FST Foam Quantity Calculator, which you can download and save, forward to customers, or access from our website at a later time as needed. The Excel file allows users to input the number and size of cables (to determine cable fill) and the duct size for their application. The calculator returns the volume of foam required (in English or metric units), and the number of cartridges needed to achieve that volume for both the FST-180 and FST-250 cartridge styles. All measurements are conservative. Be sure to enable macros when prompted by the file.

Contractors can use this simple calculator to assist in job estimating for an entire project, procurement, and for pre-planning in the office before heading off to a jobsite for the day. This useful tool puts us way ahead of the competition. It will help you answer those inevitable questions without having to call the factory. Promoting it is an excellent way to be proactive, engage your customers in a helpful way, and find out about ongoing jobs in the process.

The Friday Fax Editor's Joke of the Week
The Joke
Marriage Counseling. A husband and wife came for counseling after 20 years of marriage. When asked what the problem was, the wife went into a passionate, painful tirade listing every problem they had ever had in the 20 years they had been married. She went on and on and on: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry list of unmet needs she had endured over the course of their marriage. Finally, after allowing this to go on for a sufficient length of time, the therapist got up, walked around the desk and, after asking the wife to stand, embraced and kissed her passionately as her husband watched with a raised eyebrow. The woman shut up and quietly sat down as though in a daze. The therapist turned to the husband and said, "This is what your wife needs at least three times a week. Can you do this?" The husband thought for a moment and replied, "Well, I can drop her off here on Mondays and Wednesdays, but on Fridays, I fish."
