Polywater now offers a slow-cure PowerPatch® option. There are two situations in which this alternative might be suitable. One is in hot environments where regular PowerPatch might cure too rapidly. The other is when sealing large surface areas. In both cases the product provides additional time for the application to be completed before the sealant is cured. Field trials run by Polywater's world-class South African representative, Tank Industries, on a 77-year-old, severely leaking transformer tells the story: "We finished the City Power project on October 22 and allowed the transformer to get to full oil pressure and working temperature. We returned to the sub-station on November 2 and can report that, with the exception of a few oil leaks around the bolts, all seems to be fine. To repair the transformer off site would cost City Power ~US$100,000, excluding the actual repairs to the unit. Before the repair, the unit was using 700 to 800 liters of oil a week at a cost of US$3,500/week. City Power is indeed happy (ecstatic) with the results. After 2 weeks of normal working conditions, the transformer is still holding up. Not a drop of oil has been added--US$7,000 saved on just oil. City Power understands that the seeping around the bolts is from age and isn't serious or any fault of ours. City Power has agreed that you can use the Promotional Report." Feel free to share this fantastic testimonial, and contact the factory if there is an opportunity for slow-cure PowerPatch in your territory. |

In the season when Polywater employees often leave work and wonder where their car is, they tend to get a flurry of questions like this from customers: "Where's your flyer for Polywater WF?" Or, "Where's your online Polywater WJ brochure?" Insert the same basic question for lubes WNB, WNN, WPJ, WLZ, etc. Chances are, you may get such a question too. Don't freeze up under pressure. Here are the cold hard facts you need to know to respond properly. Many Polywater products are available in special Winter-grade Versions for cold weather application. Generally these products look, feel, and function the same as their summer-grade counterparts. The only difference is their non-freezing character (and price). Thus we generally don't have separate product flyers for winter-grade formulations, but include applicable catalog numbers and specs on the regular-grade brochures. Thus, when asked for a WF flyer, you direct the customer to the Polywater F flyer ... or the J flyer for WJ ... or the PJ flyer for WPJ ... |
