One of the most effective ways Polywater secures its position as the technical leader in its field is by conducting seminars for engineering groups.   The program, entitled "Pull it in and Energize," has been perfected over the years and is summarized in our Seminar Syllabus.   The one-hour presentation covers cable pulling lubrication, cable splicing, duct blocking, conduit joining, and more.   It's ideal for "lunch and learn" meetings with engineering groups, design/build firms, large contractors, power utilities, and others concerned with the integrity of their electrical installations (e.g., mass transit, petro-chemical plants, users of LSZH cables, etc).   Polywater pays for the lunch and participants receive a personalized Certificate of Completion that typically qualifies for CEU Credits ("Continuing Education Units").   You can benefit from these seminars in your territory by agreeing to make the canned presentation yourself, or by scheduling a presentation that your Polywater Regional Manager can make on a subsequent visit.   Start by thinking about a suitable target audience in your area, and then contact your Regional Manager to get the ball rolling.

The Pull-Planner™ 3000 is actually two programs in one. One version is in English units; the other is metric (either Newton or kilograms force).
In today's global economy the need to convert data to the metric system in the U.S. is quite common.   But there's a problem: many Americans don't know the difference between a meter and a liter, and can't remember the conversion equations.   This applies to cable pulling as well.   Some pulls require data entry in metric units for run length and cable/conduit size, and data output in liters.   What's a poor American to do?   Never fear.   With the Pull-Planner 3000 there's no need for conversion charts or pocket protectors.   You see, the Pull-Planner is actually two programs in one.   One version is in English units; the other is metric (either Newton or kilograms force).   From the Main Menu, users simply click on the Units pull-down menu and choose one of these options, instantly switching the program to that module.   In the Newton or kilograms versions all data entry is made metrically, and all data display and output is automatically fed back in metric units.   We should charge twice as much for this program, but we don't.   We're just too nice.

The Friday Fax Editor's Joke of the Week
The Joke
Humor for Lexophiles.   1) I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger ... and then it hit me.   2) Police were called to a day care where a three-year-old was resisting a rest.   3) Did you hear about the guy whose entire left side was cut off?   Well, he's all right now.   4) The roundest knight at King Arthur's round table was Sir Cumference.   5) The butcher backed up into the meat grinder and got a little behind in his work.   6) To write with a broken pencil is pointless.   7) When fish are in schools they sometimes take debate.   8) The short fortune teller who escaped from prison was a small medium at large.   9) A thief who stole a calendar got twelve months.   10) The thief who fell into wet cement became a hardened criminal.   11) Thieves who steal corn from a garden could be charged with stalking.   12) We'll never run out of math teachers because they always multiply.   13) When the smog lifts in Los Angeles, UCLA.   14) The math professor went crazy with the blackboard.   He did a number on it.
