APC offers many cable pulling lubricants--so many, in fact, it can be confusing to know which one to recommend. We have a sales tool to help you answer one of those questions. It's a Product Spotlight article on when it's appropriate to recommend the more expensive Polywater +Silicone NN or NB over the tried and true Polywater J. The paper details laboratory research and customer interviews confirming that the silicone-enhanced Polywater NN offers a lower coefficient of friction in the PE and PVC ducts common to underground pulling. Also common to underground pulling is the presence of water in ducts. This is where NN really shines. When other lubes wash off the cable or dilute into the water, the chemical make-up of NN allows it to adsorb on the jacket and continue to reduce friction. It is this kind of detailed, fact-based product information that elevates Polywater over the competition and helps clarify product choice for customers. The paper is always available as a link on the Polywater +Silicone webpage. Agents who use this tool sell more of the premium NN lubricant to very satisfied clients. |

American Polywater has secured a position for eighteen products in the new Wesco catalog to be released this month. The featured products include Polywater Lubricants J, LZ, and NN; the LP-3 lubricant pump; BonDuit Adhesive; FST and PowerPatch Sealants; cleaner types HP, KC, TR, FD, and Grime-Away Wipes; live-line treatments S-1, B-1, W-1, and RBG rubber cleaner; and the aerosol Types P7 and CG. Also notable here is the inclusion of assigned Wesco ID numbers for these Polywater products, which may be useful to you when trying to funnel business through a Wesco branch. Click here for a low quality scan of the pertinent Wesco Catalog Pages. We do not have an "exclusive position," so you will notice that competitors' packages have been sprinkled in amongst ours. You can ignore those. Our customers usually do. |

The Rolling Stop. A lawyer drives slowly through a stop sign and gets pulled over by a cop. He thinks he's smarter than the cop and decides to prove it to himself and have some fun at the cop's expense. The cop says, "License and registration, please." "What for?" says the lawyer. The cop says, "You didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign." The lawyer says, "I slowed down, and no one was coming." "You still didn't come to a complete stop," says the cop, "License and registration, please." The lawyer says, "What's the difference?" The cop says, "The difference is you have to come to a complete stop; that's the law. License and registration, please!" The clever lawyer says, "I'll make you a deal. If you can show me the legal difference between slow down and stop, I'll give you my license and registration--and you can give me the ticket. If not, you let me go without the ticket." The cop says, "That sounds fair. Please exit your vehicle, sir." At this point, the cop takes out his night stick and proceeds to beat the lawyer with it about the head and neck. After a dozen or so vicious blows he leans in and calmly says into the man's bloody ear, "Now, do you want me to stop, or just slow down?" |
