Marketing Update: Linked here in PDF format for your viewing (and printing) pleasure are four new marketing tools:

The Wind Energy Products Flyer--to be unveiled at the AWEA Wind Energy Conference in Chicago on May 4th--seeks to position existing Polywater products as suitable for this rapidly growing alternative energy market.   APC researched the unique needs of the wind tower construction and maintenance market.   For example, cleaning requirements in a tower nacelle (the compartment containing the turbine and gears) present a unique challenge: toting heavy supplies up and down a tall ladder!   This flyer incorporates industry terminology and directs product use to specific applications.   Many distributors will also receive this PDF for distribution to their customers.   Don't leave this opportunity blowing in the wind.

These FST Sealant Counter Cards are available in limited quantities.   The cards have a pop-out triangle on the back for propping up on store counters.   They're in stock, but to get one you must have FST ordered or in stock at the targeted distributor location.   Contact your regional manager to get a program going in your territory ... and seal the deal.

This Live-line Products Safety Poster was already mailed to power utility agents for placement in tool rooms, ready rooms, service bays, and other suitable high-traffic utility locations where linemen congregate.   Additional quantities still remain.   If you missed yours or need more, contact your regional manager.   You're not safe until you do.

A new Display Rack Header Card is available for the floor-standing wire racks.   The header--highlighting FST Foam Sealant, Grime-Away Wipes, and the aerosol family--emphasizes that Polywater's line is much broader than simply cable lubricants, a common misconception we must all work to correct.   If you play the broad-line card, your sales will increase.

The Friday Fax Editor's Joke of the Week
The Joke
The Test.   The FBI had an opening for an assassin.   After all the background checks, interviews and testing were done, there were 3 finalists; two men and a woman.   For the final test, the FBI agents took one of the men to a large metal door and handed him a gun.   "We must know that you will follow your instructions no matter what the circumstances.   Inside the room you will find your wife sitting in a chair ... kill her!"   The man said, "You can't be serious.   I could never shoot my wife."   The agent said, "Then you're not the right man for this job.   Take your wife and go home."   The second man was given the same instructions.   He took the gun and went into the room.   All was quiet for about 5 minutes.   The man came out with tears in his eyes, "I tried, but I can't kill my wife."   The agent said, "You don't have what it takes.   Take your wife home."   Finally, it was the woman's turn.   She was given the same instructions, to kill her husband.   She took the gun and went into the room.   Shots were heard, one after another.   They heard screaming, crashing, banging on the walls.   After a few minutes, all was quiet.   The door opened slowly and there stood the woman, wiping the sweat from her brow.   "This gun is loaded with blanks," she said, "I had to beat him to death with the chair."
