A Weekly Summary of Polywater® News of Incredible Importance
Issue #488

New edition of the Technical Talk Newsletter issued.
Technical Talk Newsletter
The latest Technical Talk newsletter went last week to some 12,000 email recipients.   Recall that this publication now covers both electrical and communications topics.   The Current Issue includes a "white paper" on how cable pulling friction coefficients are measured on APC's exclusive and state-of-the-art friction table.   It also features a direct link to the 2-minute SqueekyKleen video, a powerful sales tool for this fast-selling new telcom cleaner.   There is a "Product Spotlight" article on how and why new Polywater® LZ was developed.   And finally, it includes a lab report on PowerPatch® Sealant tests.   This is the kind of technical stuff that separates APC from other manufacturers, the kind that puts you head and shoulders above agents representing commodity lubes, cleaners, and sealants--the kind you should pay attention to (by clicking on the current issue and reading it).

An example of an FST™ Duct Seal
FST Duct Seal Example
With below-zero temps in much of the northern U.S. this week it may seem like an odd time to talk about the spring thaw, but it's exactly the correct time to begin advising clients on ways to prevent snow melt and seasonal rains from entering duct systems and damaging cables and critical equipment.   FST Foam Duct Sealant can help mitigate water ingress in ducts.   An excellent way to assist customers is by helping them visualize the solution with an image of a properly constructed FST foam seal, and by walking them through the application instructions so they understand product methodology.   This image and a link to FST's "Instructions For Use" can be found on the FST Product Flyer   The example seal is shown in a section of clear conduit, which reveals the "damming strips" wrapped around the cables.   The dams create the void into which the liquid FST foam is injected.   This holds the rapidly expanding foam in place while it cures.   Promote FST as a way to keep snow run-off and April showers out of conduit systems.   Springtime is also when copper thieves come out of hibernation and are most active.   Your customers can lock those cables in place with FST foam and have a functional deterrent in place before the losers even begin wiping their bleary, besotted eyes.

The Friday Fax Editor's Joke of the Week
The Joke
The Value of a Drink.   1) Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink, I feel shame.   Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams.   If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered.   Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver." ~ Jack Handy   2) I feel sorry for people who don't drink.   When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day. ~ Frank Sinatra   3) When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading. ~ Henny Youngman   4) 24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case.   Coincidence?   I think not. ~ Stephen Wright   5) When we drink, we get drunk.   When we get drunk, we fall asleep.   When we fall asleep, we commit no sin.   When we commit no sin, we go to heaven.   So, let's all get drunk and go to heaven! ~ Brian O'Rourke   6) Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. ~ Benjamin Franklin   7) Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer.   Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza. ~ Dave Barry   8) To some it's a six-pack; to me it's a support group.   Salvation in a can! ~ Dave Howell
