A Weekly Summary of Polywater® News of Incredible Importance
Issue #457

Grand Theft Auto.
Grand Theft Auto
The following story is true.   The names have been changed to protect Jessee Wendt of KAM Sales.   A certain agent in Georgia--whom we'll call "J.W."--is taking the Polywater® SPY Lube secret agent thing seriously--maybe too seriously.   Agent J.W. transmitted the following message to his factory handler: "Last week I ran into someone in need.   This person left their lights on and locked their keys inside the vehicle.   The battery was so dead, Onstar couldn't even help and the code on the door was of no use.   I had a Slim Jim (not the eatin' kind) in the trunk of my car for such emergencies.   But the window rubber was old, and the hot sun was baking down on me.   It was so hot, the rubber was bonded to the glass.   The window was dirty, and scalding.   No matter how hard I pushed, that thin little Slim Jim wasn't going anywhere.   I looked again in my trunk, and that's when I saw it: Polywater SPY.   I stood back like a champion and gave that window a quick squirt.   I approached the vehicle with a new sense of confidence.   With little effort, the Slim Jim slipped right in between the glass and rubber.   Needless to say, I was able to save the day; I unlocked the door.   Breaking into cars is a lot easier with a little help from our friend, Polywater SPY."   Official Corporate response: While random acts of kindness, new product ideas, and unexplained sales increases are encouraged, agents are advised to stay on mission (selling to electrical contractors pulling wire) and stay clear of felons.

We have yet another photo to include in our Best of Jeff Ericson Collection.   Here we see Jeff at a Southern California Edison "Rodeo" in a shot submitted by Natalie Schoening of Young & Company.   Jeff doesn't just "man" a trade show booth, he "defends" it.   He created this "Polywater Parapet" as a sanctuary for cable pullers and to demoralize and deter competitors.   Young & Company talked Jeff out of constructing a drawbridge and moat, claiming they were probably unnecessary.   They also declined to "stand in the towers armed with BonDuit dispensers."

The Friday Fax Editor's Joke of the Week
The Joke
Butch the Rooster.   Farmer John was in the fertilized egg business.   He had hundreds of young layers (hens), called "pullets" and ten roosters, whose job was to fertilize the eggs.   John kept records, and any rooster that didn't perform went into the soup pot and was replaced.   That took too much time, so he bought a set of tiny bells and attached them to his roosters.   Each bell had a different tone, allowing John to tell from a distance which rooster was performing.   Then he could sit on the porch and fill out efficiency reports simply by listening to the bells.   John's favorite rooster was a fine specimen named old Butch--Warning!   Warning!   (annoying sound) This is a test of the Emergency Price Increase Notification System.   We interrupt this joke to remind you that APC's new price schedule goes into effect today, June 15, 2007.   We provide this service because some yahoos skip the meaty articles and only read the jokes.   This way, the joke is on them.   They now know about the price increase whether they want to or not, and have no excuses for misquotes.   Now back to your regularly scheduled joke--But one morning John noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all.   John went to investigate.   The other roosters were chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing.   The pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover.   But to John's amazement, Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring.   He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job, and walk on to the next one.   John was so proud of Butch, he entered him in the County Fair, where Butch became an overnight sensation.   The result?   The judges not only awarded old Butch the "No Bell Piece Prize," they awarded him the "Pullet Surprise" as well.
