A Weekly Summary of Polywater® News of Incredible Importance
Issue #444

Electrical Agencies' professionalism is to be admired and emulated.
The following update on a lead APC sent to Bill Graves of Electrical Agencies in Colorado--which led to an engineering presentation--clearly shows how good agent follow-up yields big results.   Bill says, "We received a contact advisory for C. Engineering from Sharon Hindahl, December 8, 2006.   On February 23 we conducted a Lunch and Learn at CE with twenty-six personnel in attendance.   Although a broad spectrum of lubes and cleaners was displayed, the discussion was dedicated to lubes and the Pull-Planner.   It seems that CE had a cable-pull project with less than desirable results due to possible misapplication of lubricant.   There was good class participation with the class utilizing the full allotted hour.   Hal J. was the primary contact at CE.   He indicated that Polywater is a well-respected product with CE and as such they needed training in the characteristics of the various lubes along with the use of the Pull-Planner."   Bill now has dozens of engineers specifying Polywater on current and future projects, which EACO will now walk through the product distribution phase.   Some of these engineers will inevitably switch employers, causing a viral infection of Polywater love throughout the territory.   EACO's professionalism is to be admired and emulated.

Laboratory Report on PowerPatch® Air and Oil Pressure Testing
High-Pressure Selling
A frequent question you'll hear when selling PowerPatch® Sealant for transformer and PILC repair is, "How much pressure will this stuff hold?"   Tall guy Wade LeVander, APC's Eastern Sales Manager, likes to answer this question by leaning into the client's face and saying, "How much you got?"   Since this high-pressure sales tactic doesn't always work, we now offer a new sales tool: a Laboratory Report that quantifies both oil and air pressure strength for PowerPatch seals on steel surfaces.   The report, which describes the test methodology as well as the results, is linked from the online PowerPatch product flyer for easy access in the future.   The bottom line?   Properly prepared PowerPatch seals will hold both oil and air pressures in excess of 200 psi.   In layman's terms, that's a lot.

The Friday Fax Editor's Joke of the Week
The Joke
The Cat.   A man absolutely hated his wife's cat and decided to get rid of him one day by driving him twenty blocks from home and leaving him at the park.   As he was getting home, the cat was walking up the driveway.   The next day he decided to drive the cat forty blocks away.   He put the beast out and headed home.   Driving back up his driveway, there was the cat!   He kept taking the cat further and further and the cat would always beat him home.   At last he decided to drive a few miles away, turn right, then left, past the bridge, then right again and another right until he reached what he thought was a safe distance from his home ... and left the cat there.   Hours later the man called home to his wife: "Honey, is the cat there?"   "Yes," she answered, "Why do you ask?"   Frustrated, the man answered, "Put that SOB on the phone.   I'm lost and need directions!"
