Doug Kottas from Evans-Lipka & Associates shows the way with RBG Cleaner!   Read this self-explanatory article from the Nebraska Rural Electric Association's Safety Coordinator News.   "At our recent Rubber Gloving School, Doug Kottas demonstrated a new rubber goods cleaner from Polywater.   This cleaner really works!!   It is available in a liquid spray and in wipes for easy use.   We tried it out on some really dirty blankets and line hose and it really took the dirt and grime off with only a minimal amount of scrubbing.   With these items available, no more excuses for having dirty rubber goods.   I have since seen several systems that have purchased the cleaner and are using it successfully.   It works well for cleaning grounding cables too."   Follow Doug's lead.   This product works, it makes you look good, and it makes you money.   Have you made the calls?

New CableWash Package
A replacement has finally been discovered for the bristle-headed bottle used to dispense CableWash Solution.   The all new catalog #CWS-22 replaces the old 16-ounce squeeze-bottle/brush-head combo.   Makers of the old brush ceased production, and it was some time before a suitable alternate was found.   The 22-ounce CWS-22 is it.   Recall that CableWash is used to clean mud-caked cable jacket exteriors in preparation for cable splicing.   There is often a shortage of water and rags in the field for removing muck from cables about to be spliced.   Besides, water is a notoriously ineffective cleanser--and splicing solvents should never be used on cable jackets.   Convenient CableWash solves this problem.   Note that CableWash is used in preparation for SpliceMaster cable cleaning solvents, not as a replacement.   If you're confused about cable jacket cleansing vs. cable splice cleaning, watch our Refresher Video.

The Friday Fax Editor's Joke of the Week
The Joke
News article from a Florida newspaper:   When Nathan Radlich's house was burgled, thieves left his TV, his VCR, and even left his watch.   What they did take was "a generic white cardboard box filled with grayish-white power."   (That, at least, is the way the police described it.)   A spokesman for the Fort Lauderdale police said, ". . . that it looked similar to cocaine and they'd probably thought they'd hit the big time."   Then Nathan stood in front of the TV cameras and pleaded with the burglars: "Please return the cremated remains of my sister, Gertrude.   She died three years ago."   The next morning, the bullet-riddled corpse of a drug dealer known as Hoochie Pevens was found on Nathan's doorstep.   The cardboard box was there too; about half of Gertrude's ashes remained.   And there was this note.   It said, "Hoochie sold us the bogus blow, so we wasted Hoochie.   Sorry we snorted your sister.   No hard feelings.   Have a nice day."
